SWIMMING POOL CHECKS SET TO BEGIN
Each season beginning in June and continuing through July, District staff makes a visit to each home where a photo from an aerial flyover indicates a suspect pool that may be breeding mosquitoes. A quick visual inspection will reveal whether a pool needs treatment. There are no penalties, charges or fees to inspect or treat a swimming pool or other backyard breeding source. No unrelated information about the property is collected. The swimming pool check is quick and easy. Our uniformed staff will always ask for permission before entering or inspecting a property. Green pools are treated with environmentally friendly materials that will not harm swimmers should the pool be later cleaned and made ready for swimming.
