Backyard Sources

District staff is now finding active mosquito breeding in neglected green swimming pools and other backyard breeding sources. District residents are strongly encouraged to look through their yards for any type of container that may hold water. Spring rains and yard irrigations can keep many of these mosquito breeding sources full of water. Most of these containers can simply be dumped out to put an end to the mosquito breeding. Others may need to be pumped out or may require treatment. Please contact the District if you feel that you are unable to dump, drain or pump out stagnant water on your property.
