Spraying Update

A surge of newly hatched mosquitoes in the Edgewater community has prompted the District to begin spraying this area on the morning of Thursday, June 1st beginning as early as 4:00 a.m. Due to high call volumes, requests for services at individual homes in the Edgewater area can no longer be accommodated. REMINDER Town fogging continues in north Yuba City and south Yuba City. The application is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning, October 13th.  Spraying will be performed with pickup mounted foggers starting as early as 3:30am and ending by 6:30am.  All pesticide applications are predicated on mosquito abundance, disease activity and favorable weather conditions. Ultra-low volume (ULV) mosquito control applications by aircraft have been scheduled for agricultural areas in Yuba and Sutter counties over the next three days, on September 12, 13 and 14, 2022. September 12th will include areas near District 10/Hallwood and Plumas Lake. September 13th will include areas near Live Oak, Wheatland, and Rio Oso. September 14th t will include an area south and west of Yuba City. All treatments are dependent on favorable weather conditions and visibility due to smoke.  Spraying will be performed starting at or just prior to sunset and last up to 2 hours.
