Spraying Update

REMINDER: The Sutter-Yuba Mosquito & Vector Control District reports that in an effort to reduce the risk of West Nile Virus in the Sutter-Yuba area, District personnel will continue ultra low volume spraying for Sutter County town areas in Live Oak, Sutter, and Yuba City. Sutter County areas will be sprayed on Wednesday mornings. Yuba County town areas in Marysville, Linda, Edgewater, Olivehurst, Plumas Lake, and Wheatland will be sprayed on Thursday mornings.  Spraying will be performed with pickup mounted foggers every week starting as early as 3:30 AM and continuing up to 6:30 AM. An aerial mosquito control application has been scheduled for agricultural areas north of Marysville, south of Linda and Olivehurst, east of Plumas Lake and south of Wheatland on Monday and Thursday evening. Areas west of Yuba City have been scheduled for aerial spraying on Tuesday and Friday evening. Spraying will be performed starting at sunset and lasting 2 to 3 hours.  All treatments are dependent on appropriate weather conditions, and visibility due to smoke.  Aircraft applications will be made with a white Ag Wagon or a yellow and blue stripe Air Tractor flying at approximately 300 feet in elevation.
