Due to the detection of West Nile Virus positive (WNV+) mosquito samples in Yuba County and an invasive Aedes aegypti mosquito discovered in a Tierra Buena neighborhood in Yuba City, ground fogging has been scheduled. An adult mosquito control application will take place in Olivehurst, Linda (WNV+) and Tierra Buena (Aedes aegypti) on Tuesday morning, September 7, 2021 as early as 3:45 am and lasting up until 6:15am. Spraying will be performed with pickup mounted foggers, with an amber colored glowing light. Those living in or near this neighborhood that notice a small (about 1/4 inch) black and white, vividly marked mosquito that bites in the day time and often enters homes, should report them to the District (530) 674-5456.
