The Town Fogging program for this week has been changed from Thursday, July 21st, to tonight, Monday, July 18th. The change has been made to take advantage of favorable wind conditions.  Regularly scheduled weekly fogging will resume on Thursday evenings starting on July 28th.  Meridian and Robbins will remain unchanged and continue on their normal fogging schedules. Fogging begins at sunset and lasts up to 3 hours. The areas impacted by the change include Wheatland, Plumas Lake, Olivehurst, Arboga, Linda, Marysville, south Yuba City, Live Oak, Sutter and Tierra Buena.  Meridian and Robbins will continue a Tuesday or Wednesday evening spray schedule. The District will continue using Permanone, a synthetic pyrethroid. Generally, there is no need to relocate during spraying. Sensitive individuals can take steps to reduce exposure by remaining indoors during applications and turning off evaporative coolers and whole house fans. Applications are predicated on mosquito abundance and favorable weather conditions.
