The Sutter Yuba Mosquito and Vector Control District will start the Town Fogging program beginning Thursday evening June 18th. Each Thursday evening beginning at sunset and lasting up to 3 hours, ground fogging trucks will be out to reduce the number of mosquitoes accumulating in the town areas. The District will be using Permanone RTU, a synthetic pyrethroid. Generally, there is no need to relocate during spraying. Sensitive individuals can take steps to reduce exposure by remaining indoors during applications and turning off evaporative coolers and whole house fans. Applications are predicated on mosquito abundance and favorable weather conditions.
