Reminder: Town Fogging 8/24/2023

REMINDER Town fogging continues in Wheatland, Plumas Lake, Linda, Marysville, south Yuba City, Live Oak, Sutter, Tierra Buena, Olivehurst, and Edgewater. Due to detections of West Nile Virus, additional adult mosquito control applications will take place in Meridian on Thursday morning. The application is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning, August 24th. Spraying will be performed with pickup mounted foggers every week starting as early as 3:30am and ending by 6:30am. Meridian and Robbins are being sprayed on Tuesday evenings starting at about sunset. Although this material poses a low risk to human health, some people may prefer to avoid or minimize exposure by staying indoors, keeping their windows

Yuba County Aerial 8/23/2023

An aerial mosquito control application has been scheduled for agricultural areas north of Marysville and areas south of Linda and Olivehurst and east of Plumas Lake and south of Wheatland tonight, August 23, 2023. Spraying will be performed starting at sunset and lasting 2 to 3 hours.  All treatments are dependent on appropriate weather conditions, and visibility due to smoke.  Aircraft applications will be made with a white, with red stripe Ag Wagon, white twin engine Cessna 232 Skymaster, or a yellow and blue stripe Air Tractor flying at approximately 300 feet in elevation.
